Who is Calvin's favorite superhero and why do they admire them?

Calvin admires Dr. Strange the most because Strange doesn't just fight, he studies every possible outcome to find the one that helps the most people. That's exactly how Calvin approaches things too. When he was targeted by a bully at school last year, Calvin wasn't focused on himself, he was more worried about how it would feel for other kids in his class who share that identity to see it. He pauses, considers how everyone involved might be feeling, and chooses the kindest path forward.

Where did Calvin's love of superheroes come from?

When Calvin was little, we told him what Mister Rogers always said: “look for the helpers” when things are scary or hard. It stuck. Somewhere along the way, he decided that's who he wanted to be, too. Instead of just looking for helpers, he started becoming one, sticking up for his brother, including kids who get left out, and now volunteering to help kids with special needs ride horses. For Calvin, being a helper isn't a phase it's just who he is.

What superpower would Calvin want and why?

Calvin would want the power to give everyone a safe home. Living in a city, he's seen a lot of people without one, and it's stayed with him,he's always wished everyone could have a place where they feel safe and taken care of. It's not a flashy power like flying or super strength, it's the kind of power that fixes something he see a lot. For Calvin, being a hero isn't about defeating villains, it's about making sure no one has to go without the basics: shelter, safety, and a place to belong.
