Adonis looks up to Miles Morales because he sees his own Puerto Rican heritage reflected in a real icon. He respects that Miles doesn't chase popularity or care about the "in crowd"—he stays loyal to his close friends and true to his culture. To Adonis, Miles is the ultimate role model: a hero who keeps it low-key, values family and roots, and proves that staying true to yourself is the real superpower.
It runs in the family! His big brother and sister originally put him on to comics and cool culture. Plus, having a dad who acts like a real-life superhero every day made it pretty hard NOT to fall in love with the genre. Adonis grew up surrounded by real-life heroes and great influences!
Web-slinging plus teleportation! Adonis wants the power to travel the globe instantly, combination-style. He dreams of seeing the world, exploring new sights, and dropping in to save the day whenever help is needed. Total freedom, global adventure, and real heroism all wrapped into one power.
