My son is nonverbal due to autism, so I cannot ask him directly why he loves his favorite superhero. However, I know he has always loved Teen Titans Go! and enjoys watching the characters ever since he was very little. I believe he admires them because they are fun, brave, strong, and work together as a team. In real life, his superheroes are his parents because we advocate for him, support him, and love him unconditionally
I believe his love of superheroes came from seeing them as strong, brave, and able to overcome challenges. As a child navigating the world with autism, superheroes represent strength, courage, and the ability to be exactly who you are. We also encourage his love of superheroes because we see those same qualities in him every day
I believe Aiden would want the superpower of being able to communicate with everyone. Since he is nonverbal, being able to express his thoughts, feelings, and needs would allow others to understand the amazing person he is. His voice is already powerful through his actions, personality, and the way he experiences the world.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Super Kid, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
