Who is AJ's favorite superhero and why do they admire them?

AJ’s favorite superhero is definitely Spider-Man. In his own words: “Spider-Man can swing around town. He’s funny, and even when people think he’s a menace, he keeps saving people and doing what’s right.” We love his answer because it says so much about what AJ sees in a hero. To him, being a superhero isn’t about being liked or getting credit—it’s choosing to help people and do what’s right anyway.

Where did AJ's love of superheroes come from?

AJ’s love of superheroes feels like a family inheritance. His grandfather loved comic books and superheroes, and that love carried down to my siblings and me. Now I get the joy of watching AJ discover that same sense of wonder for himself—the characters, powers, stories, and endless imagination. Seeing his excitement feels wonderfully familiar. In a small but meaningful way, superheroes have become a thread connecting AJ to the grandfather he never had the chance to know.

What superpower would AJ want and why?

AJ would choose teleportation. In his words: “So I can help as many people as possible, all over the world, whenever I want. I can also stop bad guys everywhere!” That’s AJ. Give him one superpower, and he’s already planning how to save the world. He’s imaginative, endlessly curious, and has a heart that naturally looks for ways to help. To AJ, being a hero would be the greatest adventure imaginable—and making sure everyone is okay is just part of the fun.
