Amelia’s favorite superhero is Green Lantern because he draws things with his imagination and makes them real! He uses creativity to help people, just like her. She also loves Spider-Man because he is so fun and always makes people smile. Amelia loves creating drawings, books, and stories too. She hopes her stories can help other kids feel proud of who they are, accept themselves, and know that their differences can truly be their superpowers.
In our family, we love superheroes, and Amelia’s passion comes from the power she carries inside. Growing up neurodivergent and deaf, we remind her of her unique strengths so she feels confident and happy. She truly sees herself as a superhero. She loves Spider-Man’s fun spirit and has recently bonded with Green Lantern. Amelia genuinely wants to make the world better and make people smile. Her imagination is her greatest superpower!
I have pretty awesome superpowers! Since I’m deaf and wear cochlear implants, I can control my hearing by taking them off. I also have the power of kindness. My ADHD and autism give me a super creative mind that helps me write and illustrate books to inspire others. Like Green Lantern, my imagination is limitless! If I could choose extra superpowers, I’d love to bring my own drawings to life, teleport anywhere instantly, and communicate with everyone, even animals!
