Thank you for generously supporting Amelia in this year’s competition. Your participation made a huge impact for The Stan Lee Foundation and their mission to promote literacy and the narrative arts.
I love so many superheroes, mostly girl heroes like Shuri, Squirrel Girl, Ironheart, Moon Girl, and Ghost Spider, but my favorite is Ms. Marvel. She can make light into physical objects using her bangles and the opalescence is really pretty. She's very kind, funny, creative, nerdy, and she loves her family and friends. I love how she uses her imagination to create stories and art and then shares it with the world.
Amelia was destined to love all things nerdy before she was even born. Mom has been a Trekkie since her early teens and Dad has been a Star Wars and overall superhero fan most of his life. Amelia has been raised with a deep respect and appreciation for the worlds and works built by George Lucas, Jack Kirby, Gene Roddenberry, and our beloved Generalissimo - Stan Lee. She's also been raised to believe in self-rescuing princesses and that female superheroes need to have their stories told too.
Amelia would like the power to talk to animals and read minds. She's curious about what other people think and is interested in learning about things from other people's perspective. She also loves animals and being able to talk to them would give her the ability to help animals in need. Her goal in life is to become a zookeeper.
