Apollos imagines big, turns backyard sticks into cool creations, and brings grit and heart to wrestling and judo.
Thank you for generously supporting Apollos in this year’s competition. Your participation made a huge impact for The Stan Lee Foundation and their mission to promote literacy and the narrative arts.
Spider-Man. Apollos admires Spider-Man for his quick thinking, creativity, and good heart, especially the way he protects people and uses his mind, athleticism, and imagination to help others. But Apollos doesn't wanna be a copy. He wants to be his own kind of hero, someone who uses those same values in his own way. That's the story that shows who Apollos is, not just what Spider-Man can do.
Apollos has loved Spider-Man ever since he first saw him as a little kid. We’ve always encouraged that love with Spider-Man gear and stories. He admires how Spider-Man is strong, agile, smart, and powerful, but most of all, how he uses those abilities to protect innocent people and be a positive role model in his community. Apollos wants to grow into his own kind of hero, using his strength, agility, creativity, and good heart to help others.
Apollos would want Spider-Man style agility, but his dream superpowers are telekinesis and flight. So he can solve problems and get to people quickly. For gear, he's into an advanced high-tech suit like Spider-Man's Iron Spider suit, but with built-in tools that help him use those powers well. Basically, a mix of Power and Creativity, so he can be his own kind of hero.
