Supergirl is Araya's favorite superhero. Because she's a reluctant hero. And Araya can identify with that. No one told her to be a hero or a good friend. Or what it wild be like to be the little sister to an older sister with special needs, which at times makes her the big sister sometimes. She just accepts the responsibility of being who she's meant to be.
Probably from her mother who is a hero in her own right. Compassion for others and strength of character come from her mothers' living example.
