Atlas hasn’t settled on one favorite superhero yet, but he really likes Iron Man because he is strong, smart, and has an incredibly cool suit. Iron Man feels especially fitting for Atlas because he loves figuring out how things work. I think as he discovers more superheroes, he’ll admire Iron Man even more—not just for his strength, but because his greatest superpower might actually be his mind.
Atlas is just beginning to discover superheroes, but his fascination with them fits perfectly with who he already is. He is endlessly curious and will study something until he understands how it works. Lately that has been plumbing, ductwork and pool filtration systems—he once watched nearly two hours of filtration videos! Whenever we go somewhere new, he studies the vents and pipes. Give Atlas something fascinating to figure out, and he’s all in.
