Thank you for generously supporting Ayden in this year’s competition. Your participation made a huge impact for The Stan Lee Foundation and their mission to promote literacy and the narrative arts.

Who is Ayden's favorite superhero and why do they admire them?

His favorite superhero is Spider-Man. He admires him because, unlike a lot of other superheroes, Spider-Man is incredibly relatable—he deals with everyday struggles like school, money, and relationships while still trying to save the world. He truly embodies the idea that 'with great power comes great responsibility'. Even after going through immense personal tragedy, he constantly sacrifices his own happiness to look out for the 'little guy' and protect his neighborhood.

Where did Ayden's love of superheroes come from?

He definitely gets his love of superheroes straight from his dad! His dad has always been a huge fan, so he has grown up surrounded by it. It is so much fun watching them bond over their favorite characters and watch the movies together.

What superpower would Ayden want and why?

Ayden says he wants all the superpowers—because what little boy wouldn't want to do it all? But since Spider-Man is his favorite, being able to shoot webs and swing between buildings would definitely be at the very top of his list.
