Who is Brooks's favorite superhero and why do they admire them?

"My favorite superheroes are my mom and dad because they take care of me. My mom helps other kids & my dad helps people know Jesus and that changes their lives for the good. For my mom, people that can't handle emotions well do counseling - she makes them feel better so they don't feel as bad. For my dad, since I believe in Jesus, I know Jesus helps me, so it inspires me. For a regular superhero, I really like War Machine because his suit looks really cool & he's a protector of the innocent."

Where did Brooks's love of superheroes come from?

"My brother gave me a cool superhero book that had buttons on it with sound effects when I was younger. When I read it, I felt like I was really there with the Avengers helping people so they don't get hurt by the bad guys."

What superpower would Brooks want and why?

"I'd want the ability to stop arguments because it makes me sad when I see my friends arguing...if we're talking about comic superpowers, it'd be a remote for life where I could skip, skip, skip...rewind, rewind, rewind...or pause. I could rewind so I could know when to help people and how to get ready to help. I could pause time to think about certain things without people talking or loud sounds that would distract me."
