Cody likes Miles Morales teenage Spider-Man because his life mostly reflects his as a Native American teenager born in the system at no fault of his own but found enough love and hope in his heart to believe that something good would happen to him eventually and it did through his adoptive father at age 12 years old. Miles Morales resembles this narrative but like Cody found his niche in life and taking full advantage of it.
Cody found a love for superheroes in foster care as it gave him hope and courage that something good can come from something bad like the story behind most superheroes.
Cody likes Spider-Man because he can help people while maintaining his childlike innocence and travel without the need for a motor vehicle by shooting his webs and flying high all throughout the world, spreading joy.
