Corbin’s favorite superhero is Spider-Man because he’s the underdog who still does extraordinary things. Corbin is shy and doesn’t see himself as one of the “cool kids,” so he relates to Peter Parker. Spider-Man shows him that you don’t have to be the most popular, strongest, or most confident person to be special. You can be the quiet kid with a big heart and still be a hero—and I love that Spider-Man helps Corbin see that in himself.
Corbin’s love of superheroes started with Transformers. He loved the idea that something ordinary could transform into something amazing and become a hero. As he got older, that love grew into superheroes like Spider-Man—the underdogs who may seem ordinary on the outside but discover they’re capable of extraordinary things. I think Corbin loves them because they remind him that anyone can be special and anyone can be a hero.
If Corbin could choose any superpower, he would choose the ability to fly. He loves the idea of soaring through the sky, seeing the world from above, and having the freedom to go anywhere. For a shy kid, flying would make him feel fearless—like there are no limits to where he can go or what he can do. And, of course, he thinks it would be pretty awesome to fly alongside Spider-Man!
