Cruz shows similar perseverance when facing challenges, working through frustration and continuing to try rather than giving up. He admires Wolverine for being brave, determined and loyal—qualities Cruz demonstrates by standing up for others and caring deeply about the people in his life.
Cruz’s love of superheroes began when he was little, watching movies, carrying superhero toys and inventing rescue missions and blanket-fort adventures. Over time, the costumes and powers became less important than the values heroes represent: courage, kindness, perseverance and protecting the people you love.
Cruz would choose the power to heal people. He has a huge heart and cares deeply about the people he loves. For example, when someone is hurt or upset, Cruz is often the first to check on them, offer comfort and stay close until they feel better. Being able to take away someone’s pain, help them when they’re hurt and make the people he cares about better would be the ultimate superpower to him.
