They are each other’s superpower, super friend and super support system. He loves the concept of a “brotherly” duo that fight but can work through their issues. It’s a realistic juxtaposition of fantasy, friends, fiends and found family, and I agree. That’s why Eddie Brock/Venom is his favorite hero.
He grew up (well for 11 years so far) watching the movies and reading the comics. He comes from a family that loves superheroes and each other. And whether it’s sharing is caring or contagion he too loves the movies and the comics. After digging into the superhero literature and building his background knowledge he continues to grow in his appreciation for stories that bring hope and inspiration.
My child told me he would love a manifestation type power that comes from a living organism and could help him in any situation. I asked him what made this different from other manifesting superheroes and in reference to Eddie and Venom, he said it comes from a union that revolves around life working together to inspire hope and positive change.
