Eli is a superhero because he leads with heart, never stops growing, rises to every challenge, and makes us proud every single day.
Thank you for generously supporting Eli in this year’s competition. Your participation made a huge impact for The Stan Lee Foundation and their mission to promote literacy and the narrative arts.
Eli’s favorite superhero is Spider-Man because beneath the mask, he’s just a regular kid trying to do the right thing. He faces challenges, makes mistakes, gets back up and uses what makes him different to help others. Eli connects with that—the idea that being a hero isn’t about being perfect, it’s about what you choose to do when it matters
Eli’s love of superheroes started when he was little, but it became about much more than costumes and superpowers. He was drawn to characters who faced impossible odds and still found the courage to keep going. As he’s grown, I think he’s realized the best superhero stories aren’t really about powers—they’re about courage, character, kindness and believing you can become something greater
Eli would choose super speed. He’s always been fascinated by being fast and is constantly challenging himself to become faster and more athletic. But I think he’d love the freedom that comes with it most—the ability to go anywhere, chase any challenge and be there in an instant when someone needs him. For Eli, super speed wouldn’t just be about outrunning everyone. It would be about discovering just how far he could go
