Griffyn is an everyday superhero and cancer survivor who changes the world—helping others, stopping bullying, and always saying “I love you”
Thank you for generously supporting Griffyn in this year’s competition. Your participation made a huge impact for The Stan Lee Foundation and their mission to promote literacy and the narrative arts.
Griffyn’s favourite superhero is Spider-Man. Spider-man is his favourite superhero because he is brave, funny, and always tries to help people. Even though he has problems and things can be difficult, he is persistent and does the right thing. Spider-man shows you that you don’t have to be perfect, or the strongest person to make a difference. He treats kindness as strength, which is definitely a super power.
Griffyns love for superheroes grew from watching Marvel movies, reading comics, and discovering all the different heroes and their stories. Spider-Man especially stood out to him because, underneath his powers, he’s just a regular person who is given the opportunity to do extraordinary things. Griffyn loves the idea of ordinary people finding courage, using their strengths to help others, and becoming something greater than they ever imagined.
Griffyn would choose Spider-Man’s powers because swinging through the city, climbing walls, and having super strength would be incredible. But what he’d love most is using those powers to help people. Spider-Man shows that being a hero is also about kindness and caring for others. Griffyn would visit kids in hospitals, help people who are struggling, stand up for those who need it. Griffyn would use his powers to bring some happiness and make a difference wherever he could.
