Jashan has always been obsessed with superheroes. He has all of them, loves dressing up & drawing them and drew his own Spidey comic book!
Thank you for generously supporting Jashan in this year’s competition. Your participation made a huge impact for The Stan Lee Foundation and their mission to promote literacy and the narrative arts.
Spiderman. Jashan absolutely loves Spiderman, but it’s Peter Parker he’s really obsessed with. He loves Peter’s boyish charm, his humour, and the fact that underneath the suit he’s just a regular kid trying to figure things out. While the spider powers make him cool, the web-slinging, climbing walls, incredible reflexes and swinging through the city are everything he could dream of! What makes Spiderman so special to him is that Peter Parker feels relatable.
When his superhero room was being designed, he was a toddler and did not have an understanding of what it meant. His room turned out to be a premonition of his love for superheroes. He has a city skyline with every superhero decal - he dreams and breathes superheroes!
Mind control! Jashan is a highly intelligent boy for his peer group. He’s curious and fascinated by how people think, what motivates them, and how the mind works. Rather than choosing a superpower based purely on physical strength, he’s drawn to the idea of being able to influence thoughts and decisions. He’s very good at solving Lego without instructions, Rubix cubes and puzzles - he’s all about the mind
