He loves all super heroes but his tried and true would have to be Spiderman! I believe Jerell loves Spidermans kindness and boy like qualities as he may relate to a young person who chooses not to curse. Who is raised by his aunt (like him) and has faced tremendous challenges. Spiderman also comes from the city of his birth - NYC and like himself is a cool kid doing his best to be a smart student, good friend, loving nephew and brave crime fighter!
I believe that due to the hardships that Jerell had to deal with at an early age has helped shape his need to identify with positive role models. And movie watching was what he was exposed to most readily as a youngster and he fell in love with superhéroes and their ability to transcend difficult life challenges! And having powers that can be used to level the playing field was probably the best part!
Probably super strength and xray visión. As a little guy he probably wished that he could protect himself from abusive situations or and protect himself and loved ones from bullies. Xray vision is a power he told me he wished he had - to look through walls to see what is on the other side so he wont be surprised or can detect danger so he could be prepared to defend and protect!
