Spider-Man! The fact that Peter was just a normal kid, smart, underestimated, trying to fit in. She relates to that! Jess is the girl version of spider-girl; glasses, smart, curious, trying to fit in without losing her true self. She’s kind, caring, and stand up for others kids whenever she can. She's her own kind of superhero. Just like Peter, she's still just a kid trying to figure out life. Being a super hero is about who you are, the choices you make, and how you treat people.
Mom and dad have been Marvel fans for years, so superheroes were something Jess grew up around. She watched us talk about characters, movies, stories, and all the crazy adventures that came with the Marvel universe. Eventually, Jess started becoming curious herself. Before long, she wasn't just watching Marvel with us - she was invested! She connected with the characters, their personalities, their struggles, and especially the idea that being different doesn't make someone weak.
Shapeshifting! She believes that if she can turn into anything, and even disguise herself, she would be able to “spy” on villains without getting caught, studying them, observing them and then planning the best way to stop them!
