Joshua is an inclusive play hero. As a "universal connector," he uses clever strategies to ensure every kid, regardless of social challenge
Thank you for generously supporting Joshua in this year’s competition. Your participation made a huge impact for The Stan Lee Foundation and their mission to promote literacy and the narrative arts.
His favorite is Optimus Prime from the Transformers. Joshua admires how Optimus always finds hope and sees the light, even in the midst of adversity. Optimus doesn't just motivate himself, his light shines and spreads, providing a beacon for anyone who feels hopeless. Joshua relates to overcoming challenges and deeply admires that unwavering optimism. Ultimately, Joshua aspires to be a strong, compassionate leader who inspires others and transforms loves just like Optimus Prime one day.
His love for superheroes stems from his own journey and his natural empathy. He has always gravitated toward characters who stand up for the underdog and unite people. Seeing heroes like Optimus Prime bring diverse groups together to shine a light in dark places perfectly mirrors Joshua's own heart. Superheroes showed him that differences are strengths, inspiring his daily mission to be a "universal connector" and ensure every kid feels seen, included, and valued.
If Joshua could choose a superpower, it would be the "Power of Universal Connection." He already uses this incredible gift every day, but as an official superhero, he would want the ability to instantly wipe away social anxieties or barriers for anyone he meets. He would use this power to effortlessly bridge any gap, whether between adults, kids on different social levels, or peers facing unique challenges, guaranteeing that absolutely no one is ever left sitting on the sidelines.
