Jubilee spent an early part of her childhood obsessed with The Beast. We weren't allowed to call her Jubilee, because she only answered to "Hank". If we called her Jubilee, she would say, "Who's Jubilee?". She had her own, small lab coat, and she had a great interest in science and conducting small science experiments. She has so many favorite super heroes, but The Beast has definitely stood the test of time.
Our family is a bunch of avid readers, with her dad filling the home with long boxes that date back to his childhood and everyone collecting comics, drawing comics, and filling notebooks with stories. Our family is active in the community, volunteering and working toward social justice issues - comics are a space where a fantasy universe instructs us about how we should be working toward the common good, whether that means fighting villains or ensuring everyone has a seat at the table.
She's always been obsessed with insects and protecting their habitats. She'd love a power that allows her to spend time with them (possibly taking their form) & to communicate with, lead, and care for them. She swings at the playground many times a day. It would be cool if, in order to transform, she had to swing until the transformation happened. This would mean the superhero had to always look for a park or playset anytime there was trouble - encouraging cities to add more green spaces.
