My 8-year-old is my real-life superhero—powered by kindness, fueled by curiosity, armed with the best hugs, and always ready to save the day
Thank you for generously supporting Kaden in this year’s competition. Your participation made a huge impact for The Stan Lee Foundation and their mission to promote literacy and the narrative arts.
One incredible kid will transform into their own superhero identity, star in a new Stan Lee Universe comic book, and take home $25,000!
Learn MoreKaden’s favorite superhero is Spider-Man because he proves you don’t have to be the biggest or strongest person to be brave. He loves that Spider-Man is funny, never gives up, and uses his powers to help people. Kaden especially admires that even when Spider-Man is scared or things get hard, he still chooses to do the right thing.
Kaden has always had a huge imagination. Give him a blanket and it becomes a cape; a couch becomes a secret headquarters; and suddenly there’s a mission only he can solve. But as he’s grown, superheroes have come to mean something more. He loves the idea that ordinary people can be courageous, protect the people they love, and make someone’s day better. In Kaden’s world, you don’t need superpowers to be someone’s hero. ❤️
Kaden would choose the power to heal people. At 8 years old, he already knows that some hurts can’t be fixed with a Band-Aid. If he had one superpower, he’d want to take away people’s pain and make the people he loves feel better. To Kaden, the greatest superpower wouldn’t be flying or being invisible—it would be making sure no one he loves has to hurt.
