Over the years, he’s collected Spider-Man suits, masks, figurines, stuffed toys and books. He admires his bravery, kindness, humour and determination to help others. At 2, Kaid dressed as Spider-Man and proudly taught Mom and Grandma “parkour.” We thought he meant “hardcore”—but nope! He knew exactly what he meant! His expert-level parkour and dancing to the Spider-Man theme song were epic!
Every superhero has an origin story - and Kaid’s started before he was even born! His dad is the ultimate fan, with Hulk, The Thing, Deadpool, Wolverine and Batman tattooed on his arm. Our home is filled with comics, artwork, movies, games, figures, helmets and costumes. From babyhood, Dad shared his love of heroes with Kaid. Even at daycare, teachers and classmates called him “Super Kaid” and he’s been living up to it ever since!
If Kaid could have ANY superpower, he’d choose Spider-Man’s webslinging, he says. He’d love to shoot webs, swing through the city and land perfectly on rooftops like a real superhero. He’d use his webs to help people, rescue anyone in trouble and get places super fast - no traffic, no waiting, just SWING! I’m pretty sure he’d test it around the neighbourhood first… preferably after making sure Mom wasn’t watching him attempt to swing off the roof! THWIP!
