Kingston is often scared to try new things but bravely tries anyway. He is a defender of good & always advocates for those in need.
Thank you for generously supporting Kingston in this year’s competition. Your participation made a huge impact for The Stan Lee Foundation and their mission to promote literacy and the narrative arts.
Spiderman is Kingston's favorite superhero because he saves a lot of people and he's really strong (both physically and mentally/emotionally). Kingston also admires Spiderman because no matter what happens, he is still a nice person—plus he's a cool New York guy (just like Kingston)!
Kingston has loved superheroes as long as he's been alive. Before he could even talk or walk, he gravitated towards superhero action figures + toys, and over the years, he's consistently gravitated towards superhero shows/movies, clothes, etc. When he was learning to read, all his Level 1 books were Marvel. Something about that classic 'good triumphing over evil' thing (plus cool costumes & sick superpowers) has just always really resonated with him.
If it were up to him, Kingston would have powers like the Void—superhuman strength, speed, smarts, stamina, shapeshifting—except he wouldn't also be malevolent and evil! He just thinks the Void's powers are peak and he often imagines himself having those powers when he plays superhero make-believe games with himself and with friends.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Super Kid, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
