Lincoln has 2 favorite superheroes. He admires Captain America because he was a soldier like his Grandfather and Uncles. But, over time he has decided that Superman is his favorite superhero. "Mom! He isn't even from this planet, but he does everything he can to keep humanity safe. That's the kind of person I want to be. But I would wear my underpants under my uniform. They aren't called overpants! But, I would definitely keep the cape."
Linc discovered his love for superheroes when he was a little guy, after watching The Incredibles. It blew his mind that a seemingly "normal family" could have such unique abilities. As he got older, we began exploring the Marvel universe and his fascination with superheroes continued to grow as he was exposed to more exciting stories.
My kid has a deep love of history. When asked, he said, "If I could have ANY superpower, I would want to have the power to bend the cosmos and create portals with my mind, so I could travel through space and time to witness historical events in order to be able to report first-hand accounts, so maybe we won't keep making the same mistakes over and over. In 4th grade we learned about the Tulsa Race Massacre that had been kept secret. What else don't we know?"
