Lyfe’s favorite superhero is Miles Morales. He admires Miles because he sees a lot of himself in him. Miles is creative, artistic, funny and has his own sense of style. Lyfe especially connected with seeing Miles create graffiti art with his uncle because Lyfe is an artist too. He also loved seeing a young Black kid who looked like him become Spider-Man while still being completely himself.
When Lyfe first saw Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse he immediately connected with Miles Morales. He loved seeing a Spider-Man who looked like him and he also loved Miles’ style, especially the way he dressed. Seeing a superhero who felt cool, relatable and familiar made Miles stand out to Lyfe and helped spark his love of superheroes.
Lyfe would choose the power of fire because fire is his favorite element. He loves characters with fire abilities, especially Bobby Beacon from Derrick Barnes’ Like Lava in My Veins. He likes how Bobby learns to control the fire inside him, which also represents his emotions and anger. Lyfe thinks having fire powers would be exciting and powerful, and he would want to learn how to control and use them too.
