He is the kindest, most generous, helpful, supportive, loving & inclusive person ever!!! He ALWAYS puts others before himself!
Thank you for generously supporting Maddox in this year’s competition. Your participation made a huge impact for The Stan Lee Foundation and their mission to promote literacy and the narrative arts.
Iron Man is Maddox’s favorite superhero because Iron Man’s greatest power isn’t his suit! Yes, the suit makes him fly, BUT it’s Tony Stark’s creativity, intelligence, and determination that is the most super! Tony makes mistakes, faces challenges, and keeps trying, just like Maddox, whose learning disabilities can make school and certain situations difficult. They’re both funny, stubborn, and sometimes get themselves into trouble, but they learn from their mistakes and never give up!
Maddox has always loved superheroes! His dad loves them, his mom loves them, and we’ve filled his childhood with superhero cartoons, movies, books, toys, and even theme-park adventures. But I think it’s more than the capes and powers. Superheroes inspire excitement, wonder, and possibility. They remind Maddox to dream bigger, strive higher, and believe he can be “super” too—because you don’t need superpowers to be a hero!
If Maddox could choose any superpower, I think he’d choose the ability to fly. He’s always been drawn to adventure, speed, and exploring what’s beyond the ordinary. Flying would mean freedom—being able to take off whenever he wants, see the world from above, and go wherever the adventure leads. And, of course, flying like Iron Man would be pretty incredible!!!
