Learn MoreMarcus loves Spider-Man because, unlike many superheroes, Peter Parker is just a teenager trying to balance school, family, friendships, and everyday problems while carrying an enormous responsibility. Marcus relates to the idea that someone his age can feel unsure or overwhelmed but still choose to do the right thing. Spider-Man shows that being a hero is not about being perfect—it is about understanding that “with great power comes great responsibility” .
Marcus’s love of comic books and superheroes comes from his Dad . He was the person who first introduced him to comics. He showed Marcus the superheroes he grew up liking and explained their stories. After a while, Marcus started finding characters that he liked too. Comics became something they could enjoy together. They can talk about their favorite heroes, movies, and storylines.
If Marcus could choose any superpower, he would want foresight. He would want to be able to read people’s minds, predict attacks, and react before the bad guys had the chance to hurt anyone. Marcus thinks this power would be useful because he could prevent something bad from happening instead of waiting until after people were already in danger. It would allow him to stay one step ahead of the villains and protect innocent people before any harm was done.
