Even through his diagnosis he never gives up. Even when he really wants to. He stands up and helps others. Especially for what is right.
Thank you for generously supporting Maurcio in this year’s competition. Your participation made a huge impact for The Stan Lee Foundation and their mission to promote literacy and the narrative arts.
His favorite superhero is Spiderman. He loves that Peter can shoot webs, jump from building to building and save those he cares about most. Everyone. Just like my son. He said he likes to help everyone like Peter and having a secret identity is all the more fun! He especially loves Myles too. Being able to see someone of Hispanic culture be a superhero gives him more confidence
Mauricio was non verbal for the first 5 years of his life. He couldn’t talk much but he loved to watch movies and shows. We watched lots of Disney films. Then he found disneys superheroes and since? Never stopped watching. I truly think he loved being able to see these people who nobody believed in do something amazing. Just like him.
He would want invisibility he said. That say he can beat the bad guys without them seeing him. Or he could swing from building to building without them seeing his every move!
