Mekhi is nine years old, but he already has the heart and imagination of a superhero. He is incredibly smart, curious, funny.

Love them all in true nine-year-old fashion, Mekhi says he wants to use his superhero powers to "fight ICE and save people from getting deported." But underneath that funny answer is something incredibly meaningful: Mekhi wants to make sure other children don't have to experience the pain of having their family separated.
Mekhi has also experienced something that changed his view of what it means to protect a family. Six years ago, his dad was deported back to Haiti. Instead of letting that experience make him feel powerless, Mekhi turned it into a dream: becoming a superhero who could protect families from being separated and help people who are scared and vulnerable.
His superpower wouldn't just be strength. It would be intelligence, empathy, courage, and the ability to make people laugh even during difficult moments. Mekhi isn't just dreaming about becoming a superhero. He's already showing the qualities of one .
