Learn MoreMyles’ favorite superheroes are Black Panther and Captain America. He admires strong, respectful, and intelligent black heroes. Myles is black, and has grown up in a white household due to adoption. Although the color of his skin is evident, we do everything we can to celebrate the positive differences in others and I am so glad he has these powerful and resilient characters to look up to as his heroes. For these two particular characters, these heroes, they have both struggled & overcame.
Myles is love for superheroes came from his adoptive parents. We chose Myles’ name after the famous Miles Morales and when he was a baby, he would smile for hours, so we used to say miles of smiles. He was our superhero. Myles is only six but I have had a blast getting to teach him about all different superheroes and their skills.
The superpower that Myles would want is to be able to talk to animals and understand them to be able to communicate, help, and support them. Myles decided at the age of four that he wanted to be a veterinarian because he loves taking care of any type of animal. He is so passionate about this cause.
