Learn MoreOri’s favorite superheroes are Black Panther and Rocket. He likes Black Panther because he was one of the first major Black superheroes he saw. “Someone out there who looked like me was super and cool, and that made me feel like I could be too.” He likes Rocket because he’s mischievous and funny, but underneath it all, he’s still a good guy who cares about his friends.
Ori grew up watching superheroes, starting with Super Why and his crew on PBS and LarryBoy and the Incredible Vegetables. From there, his love for heroes grew to Spider-Man, the X-Men, Black Panther, and the Avengers. As he got older, superheroes became more than cool characters—they showed him that heroes can be funny, different, brave, and still stand up for others
Ori would choose teleportation. He loves exploring and would want to be able to go anywhere in the world in an instant. Most importantly, he could visit his Meme whenever he wanted since she doesn’t live close by. He could explore new places, visit the people he loves, and maybe even use his powers to get himself out of a sticky situation every now and then!
