Presten is our superhero because no matter how many doctors, tests or treatments he faces, he keeps smiling, fighting and loving big.
Thank you for generously supporting Presten in this year’s competition. Your participation made a huge impact for The Stan Lee Foundation and their mission to promote literacy and the narrative arts.
Presten could never pick just one! His favorites are Spider-Man, Superman, Batman, The Flash, and the Incredible Hulk. He admires their strength, but also the struggles they face and overcome. They get knocked down, face things that seem impossible, and still keep fighting. I think Presten sees a little of himself in each of them—strong, determined, brave, and always ready to keep going.
Presten definitely gets his love of superheroes from his parents! Superheroes have always been something we enjoy as a family. He grew up watching their movies, learning their stories, and loving what each one represents. As he has gotten older, those stories have taken on a whole new meaning. Strength isn't about never struggling—it's about continuing to fight when things get hard, and Presten shows us that every day.
If Presten could have a superpower, it would be the ultimate combination: Spider-Man’s ability to save people, The Flash’s incredible speed, and the power to heal. He would want to other kids who are sick, then use his speed and Spider-Man abilities to help and save as many people as possible. That fits Presten perfectly—because even while fighting his own battles, he has a huge heart for other people.
