Ryan is a superhero: he’s a third degree black belt, has comic timing- his only kryptonite is the urgent care waiting room he’s always in.
Thank you for generously supporting Ryan in this year’s competition. Your participation made a huge impact for The Stan Lee Foundation and their mission to promote literacy and the narrative arts.
Spider-Man is my favorite superhero because he shows me what it means to never give up. He lost Uncle Ben, Aunt May, and people he loved like Gwen Stacy, but he still chose to keep going and help others. His quote, “With great power comes great responsibility,” inspires me to use my opportunities wisely. He also inspired me to start flipping, which helped me overcome my shyness, become more confident, outgoing, and comfortable talking to people, which I can’t stop doing now.
My love for superheroes started when I was younger, watching superhero movies and seeing characters like Spider-Man overcome impossible challenges. I became fascinated by their stories, powers, and the way they helped people even when they were struggling themselves. Over time, superheroes became more than entertainment to me. They inspired me to be brave, confident, and never give up when things get difficult.
If I could have one superpower, I would choose unlimited stamina. With this power, I would technically have super speed because I could keep moving at my fastest speed without ever getting tired. I could run, train, travel, or do anything physical for as long as I wanted without slowing down. It would be like having endless energy and never needing to stop.
