My son’s favorite superhero is Deadpool. He admires him because he is funny, fearless, different, and always stays true to himself. My son has faced challenges of his own, including his parents’ divorce, being separated from his dad, separation anxiety, and ADHD. Deadpool reminds him that being different is okay and that you can face difficult times while still finding reasons to laugh and keep moving forward. To my son, being a hero means being strong, being yourself, and never giving up.
His love for superheroes started when he was little, watching superhero movies and becoming fascinated by their powers, humor, and courage. As he got older, superheroes became more than just characters to him—they became examples of being brave, different, and strong through life’s challenges. Deadpool especially caught his attention because of his funny personality and ability to stay true to himself.
If my son could have any superpower, he would choose the ability to stretch like Mr. Fantastic. He thinks it would be awesome to reach things from far away, squeeze into tight spaces, and use his stretchy powers to help people. Most of all, he would have a lot of fun with it!
