Sign Up for FreeRyu’s favorite superhero is Spiderman. Ryu loves Spiderman because he relates to Peter Parker. He looks at him as an ordinary kid/student like himself and despite his superpowers, relies mostly on his wits, will, and incredible heart to overcome overwhelming challenges and adversaries. He said he loves that Peter has so many real life difficulties which makes him look so real.
Dad grew up as a big comic book and pop culture fan. Dad has always shared his passion with Ryu and his little brother, Ken (Street Fighter references) and shared with them his comic books. Ryu went to watch his very first movie: Spiderman: Homecoming at the age of one. We thought he would be bored by it but instead he stayed up wide-eyed through the whole movie and shouted “Pidermen!!!” everytime our favorite webslinger was shown.
Ryu says that if he could get 1 superpower it would be to have long-ranged teleportation. He said he’d love to use it to help people. He could teleport to anywhere he could think off and save people from fires, falling buildings, etc. He said he could easily defeat bad guys and stop them from doing crime immediately. That’s our friendly neighborhood Ryu!
