Sami’s an everyday superhero because he shows up with quiet strength — kindness, patience, and effort, day after day, without needing a cape
Thank you for generously supporting Sami in this year’s competition. Your participation made a huge impact for The Stan Lee Foundation and their mission to promote literacy and the narrative arts.
Spider-Man teaches him that being a hero isn't about being the strongest — it's about doing the right thing, even when it's hard. 'With great power comes great responsibility' is a lesson worth growing up with: be kind, help others, and use what you've got for good.
As a kid, he’s just discovering what his body can do — running, jumping, climbing — so a hero who does all that but bigger (like swinging on webs) feels like a dream version of themselves. Superheroes also let little kids feel powerful in a world where grown-ups usually call the shots, and stories like Spider-Man's give them a clear, simple sense of good guys vs. bad guys to hold onto.
Spawning anything I want. I want to create new worlds and grow.
