Samuel

He is a kind, caring soul who always notices when someone needs help. He leads with kindness and never asks for anything in return.

Thank you for generously supporting Samuel in this year’s competition. Your participation made a huge impact for The Stan Lee Foundation and their mission to promote literacy and the narrative arts.

Who is Samuel's favorite superhero and why do they admire them?

Spider-Man is his favorite because he believes being a hero means helping others, even when it’s hard. After his mom passed away, our local Spider-Man came to visit him—a moment he will never forget. To him, Spider-Man isn’t just a superhero; he represents courage, kindness, and hope.

Where did Samuel's love of superheroes come from?

His love of superheroes grew from his own story. After losing his mom, superheroes became a way for him to see that even during the hardest moments, there can still be courage, hope, and someone willing to help. He loves the idea that heroes use their strength to protect others and make the world a little brighter.

What superpower would Samuel want and why?

To be invisible so he could quietly help people without needing praise or recognition. He has such a giving heart, and I think his greatest superpower would be using it to make someone’s day better, simply because he can.
