Her favorite superhero is Spiderman. Because he struggles. He deals with everyday, messy problems, worries about rent, balancing school, having trouble with his social life. Savannah relates to the fact that he uses humor and quick wittes sarcasm as a coping mechanism from her anxiety and stress. Savannah knows what it's like to be a loner. For Savannah, she finds comfort in seeing a hero who shares her exact insecurities.
Savannah's love for superheroes started early in her childhood. Having an older brother who was a geek about anything marvel, she picked up a thing or two. Now in days, Savannah finds comics and heros a safe space for her to escape from the real, messy, world. Reading and watching these heros help turn off her chaotic mind for a little while. That is until someone important-like Gwen-dies.
Savannah would LOVE to have powers like Raven. Savannah relates to this character. She'd love to be able to have the powers like Raven, that way she didn't have to ask for help, she didn't need to ask for a ride, she could do anything her self. Raven can also create her own safe space for herself. Having a built in sanctuary in her mind is something Savannah envies. Having that safe space to retreat to when the dark thoughts take over, when they get too loud.
