Who is Taylor's favorite superhero and why do they admire them?

While Taylor doesn't have a favorite, we do enjoy Spiderman and Batman movies. She just started back to public school after 7 years. I pulled her out because the bullying was affecting her so badly. In a new town and school, she sent ME a text on her first day at lunch time tell me that I AM her hero! This completely knocked my socks off! I wanted to say, "No way. Why me?" but I just replied, "I'm honored and I love you!"

Where did Taylor's love of superheroes come from?

Hope. Taylor believes that superheroes are real, everyday people who give hope. Taylor says that everybody needs hope, whether they know it or not. This child sees superpowers in everyday people. These are personal traits that most of us take for granted: thoughtfulness, generosity, manners, patience, perspective, authenticity, and compassion.

What superpower would Taylor want and why?

If Taylor could choose any superpower in the world, she would choose the power to make people (who need 'perspective') live in other people's shoes. Empathy, understanding, and acceptance are ingrained in some people early in life. However, others never have (or oppose) life experiences that could allow such. Taylor is a beautiful soul, who is wise beyond her years. She told me finally, that I'm her hero because I suffered through my mistakes, and recovered, so I could raise her right!
