We tell him that he has a special heart and that is the reason why needs to take medicine multiple times a day, otherwise he's too powerful. The super power could be that he feels other peoples emotions, instead of reading minds, he can read hearts. He can tell when someone is scared, nervous, lying, etc. He can heal other people as well.
