Xander’s favorite superhero is Daredevil because he proves that being different doesn’t mean being limited. Daredevil uses his extraordinary hearing as a superpower, and Xander sees his own hearing journey the same way. Xander is hard of hearing, wears a hearing aid, and never lets challenges stop him. At just 5, he is fearless, determined, kind, and always exceeding expectations. To Xander, superheroes aren’t defined by what they can’t do, but by how they find their power and use it to shine.
Xander’s love of superheroes began with his big brother, London. London is an avid superhero fan, and he was the one who introduced Xander to Daredevil and explained his incredible hearing powers. For Xander, it became more than a superhero story—it was his big brother showing him that being different can be a superpower. Their bond makes superheroes even more special because London has always been one of Xander’s real-life heroes.
Xander would choose super-hearing, super-strength, and the power to heal. He’d want super-hearing so he could hear every laugh, whisper, and beautiful sound in the world. He’d choose super-strength so he could protect the people he loves, especially his family. And he’d choose the power to heal because Xander has a huge heart and would want every kid who is hurting or facing a challenge to feel strong, happy, and never alone.
